Recreation

Outdoor recreation is a major draw for the region. The area is highly regarded for big game hunting, particularly for Rocky Mountain elk and mule deer. Anglers visit for fishing along the nearby rivers, while the surrounding public lands offer extensive opportunities for hiking, off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding, camping, and horseback riding in a truly remote wilderness setting.
