Transportation

Edmond's transportation infrastructure is primarily vehicle-centric. The city is highly accessible via Interstate 35 on its eastern edge, which provides a direct high-speed route south into downtown Oklahoma City. Major north-south arteries include US Highway 77 (Broadway) and Kelly Avenue, while historic Route 66 (2nd Street) serves as a primary east-west thoroughfare.

Public transit is provided by Citylink Edmond, a free bus service that offers several local routes throughout the city and a commuter express route connecting to Oklahoma City.

For air travel, residents use the Will Rogers World Airport in southwestern Oklahoma City. Edmond also co-owns the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport located just north in Guthrie, serving general and corporate aviation.

The city has made substantial investments in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in recent years, most notably the expansion of the multi-use trails at Arcadia Lake and the Spring Creek Trail system.
