It was formerly the estate of Daniel and Ada Rice, who bred the 1965 Kentucky Derby winner, Lucky Debonair. * **Herrick Lake Forest Preserve**: Bordering Wheaton, this is one of the county's most popular preserves, featuring mature forests, hiking trails, and picnic grounds.
