Ingushetia is primarily reliant on its road network. The M29 (R217) "Caucasus" federal highway runs straight through the republic, serving as the main artery connecting it to neighboring North Ossetia and Chechnya.
Public transit between towns consists largely of a vast network of marshrutkas (shared minibuses) and private taxis. For air travel, Magas Airport (located near Sunzha) provides regular commercial flights, predominantly to and from Moscow. The North Caucasus Railway has a station in Nazran, facilitating freight and passenger rail connections to the rest of Russia. While cycling infrastructure is minimal, the mountainous southern regions are increasingly developing hiking trails for eco-tourism.
