Agriculture in Pala is synonymous with Natural Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis). The town and its surrounding panchayats form the heartland of India's rubber production. The hilly terrain, well-drained laterite soil, and heavy monsoons provide the perfect conditions for rubber plantations.
