Sister cities

As a sovereign nation, China itself does not hold 'sister city' designations. However, its municipalities, provinces, and cities maintain thousands of active sister-city and twin-region relationships across the globe, fostering cultural, educational, and economic exchange. For example, Beijing is twinned with cities like Tokyo, London, and New York, while Shanghai maintains long-standing ties with San Francisco, Milan, and Dubai.
