Although "Museums" is not an administrative region, the nation's museum culture plays a critical role in preserving the artistic, historical, and ethnological heritage of Bangladesh:
* **Zainul Abedin Sangrahashala (Mymensingh):** An art museum dedicated to the works of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, a pioneer of modern Bangladeshi art. * **Folk Art and Craft Museum (Sonargaon):** Established by acclaimed painter Quamrul Hassan, this museum celebrates the traditional arts, crafts, and rural heritage of Bengal. * **Ethnological Museum (Chittagong):** One of the few ethnological museums in Asia, showcasing the lifestyle, heritage, and crafts of various ethnic minority groups in Bangladesh. * **National Art Gallery (Dhaka):** Housed within the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, it serves as the premier venue for contemporary fine arts and cultural exhibitions in the country.
