The topography of Arunapuram consists of rolling hills and undulating terrain typical of Kerala's midlands. It sits at an average elevation of around 20 meters above sea level.
There are no soaring mountains or deep canyons within the village limits; rather, the landscape gently rises and falls, creating natural drainage basins that flow toward the Meenachil River. The river floodplains provide flat, highly fertile patches of land, while the gentle hillsides are systematically terraced or carved out for rubber cultivation and residential plots.
