Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)

The Chicago Transit Authority, commonly known as the CTA, is the primary public transportation system serving the city of Chicago and several surrounding suburbs in northeastern Illinois. As the second-largest public transit system in the United States, the CTA operates an extensive network of bus routes and elevated and subway train lines that connect neighborhoods, business districts, educational institutions, cultural landmarks, and residential areas throughout the region.
